Where can I buy the MuseumsuferCard on site?

What happens in case of loss?

Please first check the spam folder of your email inbox or log in to your customer account on our website. There you can retrieve your purchased tickets at any time.

If no customer account has been set up, please contact our customer service during business hours – by phone at +49 69 97460239 or by email at artcard@mmg.de.

Our customer service is available Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Outside these business hours, there is no entitlement to processing or replacement.

What is the Museumsufer Frankfurt?

The Museumsufer is a unique ensemble of museums along the Main. It was designed in the 1980s and is one of the most important cultural miles in Europe.

Is public transport included?

No. Neither the MuseumsuferCard nor the MuseumsuferTicket includes use of public transport (RMV or similar).

Is commercial use also possible? Are there group offers?

The MuseumsuferTicket is already heavily discounted, which is why we unfortunately cannot offer any additional group discounts.

Can I cancel or receive a refund for cards/tickets?

No. For both products, no cancellations or refunds are possible after purchase, except in legally regulated exceptional cases. This corresponds to the statutory regulation on the exclusion of the right of withdrawal for contracts for leisure events with a fixed period (Section 312g (2) No. 9 BGB).

Are guided tours or events included?

No. The MuseumsuferCard and MuseumsuferTicket entitle you to museum admission.

Guided tours, workshops, or special events are not included and may be subject to a fee.

Is a reservation required before visiting the museum?

Generally, no advance booking is required. However, for highly popular special exhibitions or in special situations (e.g., capacity restrictions), a reservation may be required.

Are there uniform opening hours?

No. Opening hours vary depending on the museum. Some museums are closed on Mondays, while others offer evening opening hours. Please check the relevant museum website before your visit.

Do the MuseumsuferCard and MuseumsuferTicket also cover special exhibitions?

  • Also valid for special exhibitions, with the exception of the Städel. More information can be found here.

Are the MuseumsuferCard and MuseumsuferTicket transferable?

No. Both products are non-transferable and bound to the individual. Photo identification may be required upon entry.

Are the offers suitable for people with disabilities?

Yes. Many museums are accessible. Companions of people with severe disabilities (special mark **B**) generally receive free admission. The exact regulations may vary depending on the museum.

Are there discounted cards/tickets and who is eligible?

Discounted cards/tickets are only available on-site.

The following are eligible for discounts:

  • Children from 6 to 18 years of age inclusive
  • Pupils
  • Apprentices
  • Students (not valid for students of the University of the 3rd Age)
  • Volunteers
  • Unemployed
  • Persons with a degree of disability (GdB) from 50
  • Frankfurt Pass / Kultur Pass holders

The discounted Single ticket is only available at:

  • all 39 museums and exhibition venues
  • Tourist Information Römer
  • Frankfurt Ticket and all advance booking offices of Frankfurt Ticket
  • Ticket store in MyZeil, 2nd floor, store number 77

How long are the MuseumsuferCard & MuseumsuferTicket valid for?

MuseumsuferCard

  • Valid for 12 months from your preferred date

MuseumsuferTicket

  • Valid on two consecutive calendar days from the selected start date. If the second day falls on a museum closing day, the validity is automatically extended.

Example: Purchase on Monday → valid Monday & Tuesday (not 48 hours). If the day after the start of use is a closing day at the museum, the validity period is extended by one day.

How much do the cards and tickets cost?

  • Family card (2 adults + children/grandchildren up to 18 years): €150
  • Discounted Single ticket (available only directly at the museum): €45

MuseumsuferTicket

  • Singel ticket: 21 €
  • Family ticket (2 adults + children/grandchildren under 18 years): €32
  • Discounted ticket (available only directly at the museum): €12
